1. Introduction
By booking a ceremony with Simple Marriages LLC, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a smooth, professional, and legally compliant experience for your wedding day.
2. Reservations & Deposits
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your date and time on our calendar.
- Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Simple Marriages LLC does not store or maintain access to your full credit card information.
- Balance: Any remaining balance is due prior to the commencement of the ceremony.
3. Legal Obligations & Requirements
- Marriage License: The couple is solely responsible for obtaining a valid Marriage License from the appropriate City or Town Clerk.
- Mandatory Waiting Periods: You must adhere to all statutory requirements, including the mandatory waiting periods (24 hours in New York; 72 hours in New Jersey). We cannot perform a legal ceremony if these requirements are not met.
- Identification: Valid government-issued photo ID must be presented by both parties and any required witnesses at the time of the ceremony.
4. Media & Photography
We may take photographs during the ceremony for marketing and promotional purposes on our website or social media. We prioritize your privacy and will never share personal or sensitive information alongside these images. If you prefer that your images not be used, you may opt out at any time by notifying us in writing.
5. Our Service Model
Our mission is to guide you through the process. While we provide expert coordination and perform the legal filing of the license, Simple Marriages LLC is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete paperwork, incorrect information provided by the couple, or missed appointments with the Clerk’s office.
6. Limitation of Liability
Simple Marriages LLC and its officiants shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the performance or non-performance of our services.
